Samsung Research Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our Big Data team, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to gain actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to understand usage and performance of Samsung Knox Cloud services and operations
  • Collaborate with cloud solution teams to innovate and develop new Gen AI technologies
  • Develop mathematical models for data products to drive growth and develop data pipeline and data sources for related data-driven operations
  • Work on complex issues such as analyzing customer situations or business data using in-depth evaluation of variables
  • Generate data reports and business insights using the latest ML/AI technology

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a highly quantitative field or equivalent professional field
  • 3+ years of working experience in data scientist/analyst role building and deploying ML/AI models
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and expertise in Python using e.g. SciKit-Learn, Pandas, Tensor flow, Keras, Deep Learning Framework etc.
  • Experience with LLM and RAG
  • Experience with various AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift)
  • Strong communication and team working skills
