Restaurant Kitchen Supervisor

Bluetail Sushi & Bistro is seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that we maintain our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective work schedules to meet operational requirements.
- SUPERVISE AND CO-ORDINATE ACTIVITIES OF STAFF WHO PREPARE AND PORTION FOOD: Oversee and direct the preparation and portioning of food to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- TRAIN STAFF IN JOB DUTIES, SANITATION, AND SAFETY PROCEDURES: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation practices, and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- ESTIMATE INGREDIENTS AND SUPPLIES REQUIRED FOR MEAL PREPARATION:
- Evaluate ingredient and supply needs to ensure adequate stock levels for meal preparation.
- ENSURE THAT FOOD AND SERVICE MEET QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that food meets our high standards and that customers receive excellent service.
- PREPARE BUDGET AND COST ESTIMATES:
- Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for menu items and ingredients to optimize profitability.
- ADDRESS CUSTOMERS' COMPLAINTS OR CONCERNS:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns to ensure their satisfaction.
- MAINTAIN RECORDS OF STOCK, REPAIRS, SALES, AND WASTAGE:
- Accurately record and track inventory levels, repairs, sales, and waste to inform business decisions.
- PREPARE AND SUBMIT REPORTS:
- Compile and submit reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management, including sales, inventory, and employee performance.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Kitchen Supervisor or similar role.
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Competitive salary ($45,000 - $55,000 per year).
