Senior Secret Cleared Security Architect Role

We are seeking a Senior Secret Cleared Security Architect to join our team at S I Systems. This role will involve assisting in the development of a new targeted enterprise architecture (TEA) on a large Business Transformation initiative within the Public Sector.

The Business Transformation team is working on building a new TEA that will respond to the needs of employees to help them do their work as efficiently as possible. This includes identifying current capabilities, gaps, and the best options available on the market to modernize the way we work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Extensive experience with Azure, including migration and implementation strategies.
  2. Significant experience with Government of Canada standards (ITSG-33, Guardrails), ensuring compliance with existing GC cybersecurity policies, rules, and regulations.
  3. Conducting thorough risk assessments of existing and proposed systems to identify and prioritize security risks.
  4. Providing recommendations for security controls, including role-based access control, data segregation, and encryption.
  5. Preparing security documentation for evaluation by an assessor.
  6. Collaborating with architecture and data management teams to ensure a holistic approach to security.
  7. Estimating timelines for implementing security measures, considering project stages and milestones.
  8. Assisting in understanding budgetary implications of various security measures, particularly in the context of the project's fiscal year.
