Community Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Services Manager to join our team at Community Living Belleville and Area.
About the RoleThe Community Services Manager will be responsible for providing direction and resources to Direct Support Professionals to ensure they are supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their personal goals, facilitate relationships, develop skills, and encourage true participation in their community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct a team of staff providing individualized supports and services
- Ensure that all staff members have the skills, resources, and passion to support individuals to enjoy quality of life, measured by eleven plus outcomes and eleven plus supports using Personal Outcome Measures
- Ensure that the people we support are directing how their individualized services are delivered
- Monitor the number of supports and outcomes in place for individuals by reviewing a person's recorded documentation on a regular basis
- Understand the Mission and Vision of Community Living Belleville and Area
- Support the concept of community connections and networking and promote the personal outcomes tool as a way of enhancing individuals' lives
- Understand the financial mechanisms in place to manage and monitor the budgets of community homes/services as well as the finances for the individuals supported
- Promote health and safety within the workplace for both staff and individuals we support
- Provide on-call support for the agency on a rotational basis, including weekends
- Be available and flexible to respond to emergency and crisis situations within service areas you are responsible for
- Apply sound management principles and provide consistency in direction to staff
- Promote a harmonious and co-operative atmosphere within the community homes and encourage active participation of direct support staff in team meetings and open communications at all levels
- A minimum of five years' experience in the field of developmental services
- Sound knowledge of the Quality Assurance Measures (Ontario Regulation 299/10)
- Understanding of Person-Centered Planning and Personal Outcome Measures
- Ability to maintain good public relations and liaise with other service providers, families, and professionals
- Valid G driver's license and clear driver's abstract
- Dental care
- Flexible schedule
- Driver's License (required)
