Industrial Construction Division Leader

About This Role
We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our Industrial Construction Division in the Saskatchewan Region. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for driving the success of our industrial construction projects, developing business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Your expertise in the construction industry, combined with your leadership skills and business acumen, will be essential in driving growth and operational excellence in our region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First. Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Leadership and Team Management. Lead a team of experts towards the successful completion of industrial construction projects, while developing and nourishing a pipeline of clients and secured work opportunities through business development, industry networking, and research.
- Business Development. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the local industrial construction market, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to secure new contracts.
- Client Focus. Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded through excellent project management and customer service.
- Operational Excellence. Drive operational excellence in our region, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Compliance and Risk Management. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, while identifying and mitigating risks associated with industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge Management. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the construction industry, including market trends, pricing strategies, and industry relationships.
- Continuous Learning. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the construction industry, attending relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Coaching and Development. Coach and develop a team of experts, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in their roles.
- Strategic Planning. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and operational excellence in our region, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience. 15+ years of senior leadership experience in a similar position, with a strong track record of driving growth and operational excellence.
- Construction Industry Knowledge. Advanced knowledge and understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, pricing strategies, and industry relationships.
- Business Acumen. Strong business acumen, with the ability and comfort level to drive the business forward through business development activities.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation. Strong problem-solving and innovation skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with industrial construction projects.
- Continuous Learning. A commitment to continuous learning, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the construction industry.
- Business Operations. Strong knowledge of business operations processes, including estimation, tendering, subcontracting, purchasing, and accounting.
- Language Skills. Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Travel. Willingness to travel to project sites in Western Canada, as required.
- Valid Driver's License. A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean record, and the ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
- Security Clearance. The ability to obtain security clearance, as required by client-specific site requirements.
- Drug and Alcohol Screening. The ability to pass drug and alcohol screening, as required by client-specific site requirements.
