Job Title: Crime Stoppers Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

The District of Saanich is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Stoppers Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Intelligence Section, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our Crime Stoppers program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer all aspects of the Crime Stoppers program, including receiving and processing anonymous tips from the public.
  • Liaise with media outlets to promote the program and encourage public participation.
  • Represent Crime Stoppers through social media and community engagement events.
  • Prepare statistical reports for presentation to the Board of Directors and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience as a police officer or working within a criminal justice environment, with knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Able to meet all background checks, security clearances, and vulnerable sector screening.
  • Adherence to policies, standard operating procedures, and departmental rules and regulations.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.

Work Schedule: The successful candidate will work a schedule of either Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a total of 32 hours/week.
