Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at T & S Transportation Systems Inc. as a Commercial Transport Truck Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
    • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with commercial transport truck systems
    • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Inspection and Testing
    • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
    • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimation and Reporting
    • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
    • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
    • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Hand-eye co-ordination
    • Attention to detail
    • Manual dexterity
