Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate at Regina Public Library. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, providing information and assistance, and promoting the library and its services.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide proactive customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Assist customers with technology, information resources, and other services, ensuring they have a positive experience at the library.
  3. Host library programs, tours, and community events, promoting the library and its services to the community.
  4. Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and cash handling, as required.
  5. Assume shift supervisory responsibility as assigned, providing leadership and guidance to colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 completion.
  • Minimum 2 years' recent experience in a customer-focused environment, preferably in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to interact effectively with customers of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Ability to assist customers with technology, information resources, and other services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of groups.
  • Strong customer service orientation and service record.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the public, staff, and partners.
