Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Edo Japan Tsawwassen. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that our inventory levels are adequate to meet the needs of our customers.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to prevent quality issues.

Prepare Budgets and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Supervise Assembly of Trays

Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that they are prepared to the highest standards.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules to ensure that our staff are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Certifications

Safe Food Handling certificate.

Language

English.

Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment where you will be working under pressure to meet the needs of our customers. You will be standing for extended periods and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
