About the Role:
RhynoCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Sechelt-area. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Excellent Patient Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care, ensuring the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Assess and Plan Care: Assess the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Coordinate Resident Transfers and Discharges: Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges of residents, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Ensure the safe and secure storage, control, and administration of medications and narcotics, as well as the maintenance of adequate supplies.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve optimal resident outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Registration and Certification: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations, as well as basic computer proficiency and valid First Aid and CPR certification.
