About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Data Centre Support Technician to join our team at NAV CANADA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the production, reproduction, and maintenance of engineering-related technical drawings and documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and update technical drawings, documents, and specifications in accordance with NAV CANADA standards and policies.
  • Maintain and update various databases with the most current drawings and documents, making them available to Service Delivery units.
  • Collaborate with other TDC staff to edit, archive, safeguard, and distribute technical documents.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to engineers, technologists, and project managers in the preparation of contract specifications and internal policies.
  • Monitor contracts for delivery of drafting services and ensure compliance with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma and an acceptable training program in CAD technology or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience in CAD technology.
  • Experience with NAV CANADA National Drafting standards for importing professional drawings into Electronic Data Management.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and experience in electronic and electro-mechanical drafting.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and peripherals, machine shop procedures, and technical terminology used in electro-mechanical drawings.

Working Conditions
