The Senior Director, External Reporting will be a strategic leader in enterprise finance providing valued financial governance and advice, and empowering and enabling the vision of the future of the CFO Group using innovation to drive efficiencies and provide enriched insights.

This role involves leading the External Reporting team in telling the story of RBC's financial results to the public through the quarterly Report to Shareholders, Annual Report and other external disclosures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that financial results are effectively and consistently communicated to the general public and investment community, and that external disclosures comply with key stakeholder requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • a Chartered Professional Accountant designation
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience including experience in financial reporting
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively to executives
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with ability to empower the team
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, including ability to recommend practical solutions to complex challenges in a dynamic environment
  • A proactive and forward-thinking approach
  • Drive to impact

We offer an estimated salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, based on industry standards, location, and job requirements.
