About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Bry Sand Ice Arena Ltd. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and achieve the desired density.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to meet quality standards.
  • Impart a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and extend their lifespan.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail is crucial to ensure high-quality work.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Workplace Information
  • This is an on-the-road job with a 40-hour workweek.
  • The work language is English.
