Job Summary

COBS Bread is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, merchandising products, and executing marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers
  • Merchandise products in a visually appealing manner, maintaining a clean and organized store environment
  • Execute marketing campaigns, promoting products and services to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving, and stocking products
  • Operate the point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit card, and debit transactions

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on building relationships and resolving customer complaints
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Experience in handling cash, credit card, and debit transactions, with a strong understanding of cash handling procedures
  • Relevant retail experience, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and achieving customer satisfaction
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a strong work ethic
  • Reliability, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing and walking for all tasks
  • Constant use of both hands, with frequent forceful gripping
  • Continual operation of the point-of-sale system
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 7.5 kg, reaching below shoulder level, bending, and turning
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg, pushing, pulling, crouching, bending, and reaching above shoulder level
