Job Summary

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our schools and facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school buildings and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with Board, local, and provincial government operational and health and safety standards
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Collaborate with other staff members to achieve common goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Compliance with H & S guidelines
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments
  • Updated WHMIS training
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with adolescents and the general public
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
