About the Role

Mossy Branches Inc. is seeking an ECE Assistant to join our team. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development
  • Support children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Support for Persons with Disabilities
  • Provide physical accessibility accommodations to ensure equal access to our facilities
  • Offer visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille or screen readers
  • Provide auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software or teletypewriters
  • Participate in initiatives that support persons with disabilities
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Participate in initiatives that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation
  • Support social and labour market integration through language training and skills development
Support for Youth
  • Participate in initiatives that support youth employment and development
  • Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities
Support for Veterans
  • Participate in initiatives that support Veterans and their transition to civilian life
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities
Support for Indigenous People
  • Participate in initiatives that support Indigenous people and their communities
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities
Support for Mature Workers
  • Participate in initiatives that support mature workers and their career development
  • Offer phased retirement options and resources to support their transition
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Participate in initiatives that support visible minorities and their communities
