Lead Nurse Practitioner

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Indigenous Health team, you will provide expert leadership, consultation, and advice to programs and departments across VCH on projects and initiatives designed to support a quality practice environment and excellence in clinical practice for NPs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide practice leadership to Nurse Practitioners (NPs) across Vancouver Coastal Health, acknowledging that NPs are autonomous, collaborative medical practitioners and that developing role clarity is essential to the effectiveness of interprofessional teams in which NPs function.
- Foster the integration of NP practice and understanding of practice scope and create a supportive professional practice structure that will ensure adequate opportunities for mentorship, clinical practice feedback, collegial relationships with physicians and other medical staff, and collaborative practice within the interprofessional teams.
- Perform Clinical Nurse Practitioner related duties as assigned and have key accountabilities for quality assurance and patient safety within the Regional Department of Nurse Practitioners in accordance with the medical staff rules and bylaws.
- Current practicing registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner including progressive clinical practice, education, research, project management or leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
