Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our AutoCAD team. As a DevOps Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation. You will be involved in streamlining our development and deployment processes, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring the scalability and security of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new service offerings on top of a strong cloud foundation
  • Support development teams in leveraging our larger machine learning operations (MLOps)
  • Drive the design, implementation, and management for expanding observability infrastructure, keeping up to date with new technologies
  • Lead sustainable incident response, blameless postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities
  • Collaborate with software development and the infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain multiple business offerings
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Manage and secure cloud-based environments (AWS)
  • Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Collaborate in designing and implementing security best practices throughout the development and deployment pipelines
  • Periodical On-Call responsibility, alongside your fellow team members
  • Define and document best practices across all pillars of DevOps/SRE

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in DevOps / SRE or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Expertise with container-based technologies, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
  • Expertise with infrastructure as code, configuration management tools and cloud automation, e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation
  • Good understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Experience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools
  • Great programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell
  • Experience in Linux Systems Administration, scripting and troubleshooting in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications)
  • Experience with microservices, serverless architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana)
  • Knowledge in Jenkins, Groovy, CDK

Salary Transparency:

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
