Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance professional with a strong background in testing frameworks, scripting, and performance evaluation, particularly within the realms of Unity, Unreal Engine, and extended reality (XR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with product management to understand functional requirements and ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work with engineering teams to enhance unit testing and develop test strategies and detailed test plans.
  • Develop custom testing frameworks and conduct exploratory testing to identify and resolve new bugs.
  • Script automated tests across various software layers and maintain and document issue tracking, test runs, and solutions.
  • Provide reports on product quality and performance metrics to the development team and share knowledge of the latest testing frameworks and tools, guiding teams on best practices.
  • Conduct performance profiling in real-time applications and design test processes around the bug life cycle.
  • Develop a strong interest in addressing testing challenges in graphics and multi-user environments and use data-driven approaches to support testing solutions.
  • Experience with network load, stress testing, and performance evaluation and a passion for extended, virtual, and augmented reality (XR, VR, AR) technologies.
  • Knowledgeable in software testing trends and methodologies, including TDD and BDD, and skilled in designing test processes around the bug life cycle.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills and a creative approach to testing games and applications with non-traditional user interfaces.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including testing in Unity or Unreal Engine, proficient in scripting languages such as Python, and experience working with AEC and CAD software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
  • Familiarity with diverse testing frameworks across multiple programming languages and a strong interest in developing custom testing frameworks.
