Job Title: Relief Occupational Therapist Position

Interior Health Authority is seeking a talented and compassionate Relief Occupational Therapist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing assessment, treatment planning, and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription, and education to patients and/or their caregivers. You will operate within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, contributing to promoting functional independence and enabling patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will also provide work direction to the Rehabilitation Assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regard to transfer of function.

About this Position: This part-time (0.59 FTE) position is to provide coverage until December 2024, or the return of the incumbent. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will have a strong passion for providing high-quality patient care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
