Job Title: Grocery Store Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grocery Store Supervisor to join our team at Brooks Grocery. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to perform their tasks.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits and displays for our store, including trade shows and conventions.
- Order merchandise and ensure that it is delivered to the store in a timely manner.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that they are followed by all staff members.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
