Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full-time general ophthalmologist to join our team at Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our ophthalmology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive ophthalmology services, including cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and retinal care
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 coverage for our patients
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Applicable FRCPC designation and an independent license to practice in Ontario
  • Excellent clinical skills and a strong commitment to patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and mutual respect
