Job Summary

We are seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator to join our team. As a key member of our road construction operations, you will operate an asphalt roller, finish roller or rubber tire roller on municipal, highway and private contracts. Your attention to detail will be essential when conducting pre-operational checks on equipment, completing maintenance records and daily equipment logs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate an asphalt roller, finish roller or rubber tire roller on municipal, highway and private contracts
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, complete maintenance records and daily equipment logs
  • Clean, service and lubricate equipment and perform minor repairs
  • Communicate effectively with the crew using two-way radios and other communication devices
  • Lead by example by promoting a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, consultants and the public

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience operating heavy equipment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Travel when required
