Software Security Engineer II

Abnormal Security Corporation is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join the Platform Security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for security and privacy. The Platform Security team is responsible for designing, developing, and releasing secure service-to-service communication frameworks and toolings, customer data security and privacy workflows, and integrating them with security operational analytics and auditing services to monitor, protect, and secure Abnormal infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop secure and scalable customer integration frameworks and toolings to integrate Abnormal ecosystem with external applications.
- Integrate platform and infrastructure components with security operational analytics and auditing tooling.
- Contribute to the Platform Security team and the Platform & Infrastructure division roadmap.
- Reconcile platform and security requirements to build a secure platform while enabling global engineering teams to deliver high-quality software at high velocity.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong computer science and programming fundamentals.
- Experience with system design and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Golang and Python programming languages.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization and network security problem space, best practices, and related technologies.
- Understanding of distributed computing, CAP theorem, and system design tradeoffs.
