Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Environmental Consulting team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating projects in various areas, including Designated Substances/Hazardous Materials Surveys, Indoor Air Quality Assessments, and Hazardous Materials Tendering and Abatement Supervision. You will also supervise and train Field Technicians, generate and provide technical reviews of deliverable documentation, and maintain a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
  • Coordinate projects in one or more of the following areas:
    • Designated Substances/Hazardous Materials Surveys.
    • Indoor Air Quality Assessments.
    • Hazardous Materials Tendering and Abatement Supervision (including sampling and analysis and field reporting).
    • Microbial assessment/consulting.
  • Coordinate projects in other areas of Environmental Consulting as required.
  • Supervise and train Field Technicians in their job functionality.
  • Generate and provide technical reviews of deliverable documentation, such as technical reports, proposals, and qualification packages.
  • Manage and/or generate deliverable documentation of various projects, including technical documents.
  • Consistently execute prescribed technical procedures and work plans.
  • Interact, coordinate, and schedule projects with clients, as directed by the Team Lead or Director.
  • Participate in project management meetings, office meetings, health, and safety inspections.
  • Maintain a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high-quality work.
  • Consistently maintain professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support.
  • Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts.
  • Conduct project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation, project finance management, and project invoicing.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and/or applicable (science/engineering) diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a consulting environment.
  • Experience providing reviews to proposals, specifications, case studies, technical, and non-technical reports required.
  • Solid understanding of provincial and federal regulatory requirements acquired through experience and education.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license required.
  • Possession of or eligibility to obtain secret security clearance required.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
