Senior Energy Professional for Low-Carbon Future

We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial candidate to join our Energy Systems Engineering Discipline as a Senior Energy Professional. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of energy engineers to create high-quality custom solutions for clients using innovative technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in mechanical engineering, sustainable and renewable energy engineering, electrical engineering, engineering physics, or architectural conservation and sustainability engineering. They will be passionate about building Canada's low-carbon future and have experience in energy systems, renewable energy systems, and consulting engineering.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the growth of the Energy Systems Engineering team through external initiatives and internal initiatives.
  • Acting as energy engineering discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects, including zero-carbon building design and deep-energy building retrofit projects.
  • Leading and mentoring junior energy engineering team in building energy modelling and building energy/carbon conservation measure design.
  • Performing peer review of building energy projects.
  • Representing the company and the Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in working with clients to guide, support, and develop project solutions that meet their—and our planet's—needs.
  • Developing improved and more efficient modelling and analysis methodologies for energy project deliverables.
  • Organizing the workload of technicians and junior engineers to ensure that project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
