Personalization Product Manager

At CARFAX, we're innovating and building world-class products that millions of people use every day. We're looking for a Product Manager - Personalization to develop our Personalization platform that helps guide millions of people as they shop, buy, maintain, or sell cars. Your expertise will share the platform capabilities in leveraging consumer insights to provide a tailored experience that delivers highly relevant content at every touch point, both on-site (web and app) and off-site (digital messaging and social media channels).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the vision & strategy, development and execution of the product that is critical to drive personalization throughout CARFAX
  • Identify new opportunities that can be unlocked by data insights (quantitative and qualitative) to drive omnichannel personalization
  • Lead the integration of personalization features across our user experience, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap
  • Rally the business behind the centralized personalization concept and work to infuse it into our culture
  • Lead cross-functional teams; including engineering, project management, analytics, data science, UX, user research and marketing – in the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products.
  • Make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative data. Deeply understand car shopper needs, pain points, and behaviors, and transform that knowledge into critical moments for personalization to build a cohesive roadmap of features that aligns to company goals.
  • Translate your product vision into detailed functional specifications.
  • Define metrics that inform the success of the products, monitor performance in real-time, and determine a product roll-out strategy based on personalization insights.
  • Understand CARFAX's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.

We're looking for:
  • 5+ years of product management focused on large scale platforms or services (preferred)
  • Previous experience leading or implementing personalized lifecycle consumer experience (preferred)
  • Experience integrating features across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated track record working with data and/or data products (preferred)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias toward action and customer focused innovation. You thrive on challenges and not be deterred by difficult situations. You work proactively rather than reactively.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills - able to manage stakeholders up, down, and sideways.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; willingness to get into the details and drive clarity from ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to push forward on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for making decisions quickly to seize opportunities that lead to team success.
