Job Summary:

This is a full-time role with one of our financial clients, a leading company in the industry.

Position: Cloud Data Architect - Azure

Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid (remote work options available)

You will be part of our Data Strategy and Engineering team to architect large-scale data-driven engagements and provide direction as the subject matter expert in Azure, AWS, and SQL Server Data architecture. You will orchestrate the development of architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks. This primarily consists of both Azure cloud, AWS cloud, MicroStrategy, and On-Prem Data Warehouse environments, including but not limited to migration of legacy platforms to Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Implement Data Solutions: Proven experience as a Data Architect with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure Data Lake and AWS.
  2. Cloud Services and Data Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud services and data architecture principles.
  3. Data Integration and ETL: Proficiency in data integration and ETL concepts and practical experience with cloud technologies.
  4. Data Storage and Processing: Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies in Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and Azure Synapse Analytics, and legacy SQL Data Warehouse.
  5. Migration Projects: Experience in migration projects from On-Prem to Azure Cloud Services (Data Lake/Synapse).
  6. Data Transformation and Preparation: Experience with data transformation and data preparation tools and techniques.
  7. Data Security and Compliance: Knowledge of data security and compliance practices in the Azure cloud environment.
  8. Data Cataloging and Metadata Management: Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools and practices.
  9. Azure Certifications: Azure certifications related to data and analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
  10. SQL Server Database Design: In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database design, implementation, and administration.
  11. SQL Programming: Proficiency in SQL programming, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
  12. Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence: Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
