We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at Softchoice. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that drive business value and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop end-to-end data architecture designs that meet client business requirements, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and other technologies.
- Define data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles for client projects, including data modeling, metadata management, and security.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure data-driven solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other architects to drive project success.
- Advocate for data security best practices and ensure they are embedded in all data and analytics strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and contribute to the development of our data architecture capabilities.
- At least 15 years of experience in architecture and design, with a focus on secure, complex applications and multi-cloud platforms.
- Experience with Databricks and/or Fabric is preferred.
- Strong understanding of distributed computing, data principles, and architectural frameworks such as TOGAF and DMBok.
- 10+ years of experience designing solutions with diverse data sources, formats, and architectural patterns.
- Knowledge of common database technologies, structured and unstructured data, and OSS.
- Understanding of data governance, data dictionaries, data security, and Master Data Management.
- Deep understanding of when to use complex data and analytics services to solve enterprise data challenges.
- 10+ years of experience accelerating digital transformation, incorporating advanced analytics, BI tools, AI, Machine Learning, and Big Data.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, with excellent presentation and verbal skills.
- Problem-solving and consultative mindset, with a proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively.
