About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team at Oerlikon's Fort Saskatchewan facility. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for planning and executing production orders for assigned product families, ensuring timely delivery and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, including material requirements planning and process optimization.
  • Maintain open communication with plant operators to ensure production orders are executed correctly and address any deviations or concerns.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data in SAP and other company systems, maintaining optimal work-in-process inventory levels.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed, including vacation coverage and special assignments.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as industrial engineering or operations management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in production planning and execution, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • SAP training in MM/PP and analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed oriented with good prioritization and time management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching program, and paid time off.
