Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Blue Rock Transport. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across long distances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and condition.
  • Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as needed.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Requirements:

  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Valid driving record check (abstract)
  • Ability to work 40-60 hours per week
