Mould Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mould Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hamilton Kent, a leading manufacturer of rubber gaskets. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our injection and compression moulding machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of injection and compression moulding machines to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform repairs, cleaning, and storage of moulds to maintain their quality and extend their lifespan.
  • Operate mobile material handling equipment to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and maintain all injection and compression moulds to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with injection moulding machines and rubber/plastics manufacturing.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
