Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mould Maintenance Technician to join our team at IPEX Group of Companies. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our injection moulding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on injection and compression moulds to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Identify and troubleshoot root causes of equipment issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Operate mobile material handling equipment to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair all injection and compression moulds, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all compression and injection moulds, including stripping down, cleaning, replacing date plugs, and storing all injection/compression moulds and cold runners.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals, participating in plant shutdown periods and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly work environment, adhering to company policies and safe work practices.
  • Support and follow the 5S program, maintaining good housekeeping standards.
  • Dispose of chemicals in accordance with label instructions.
  • Catalog and inventory all parts and tooling related to mould service.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of injection moulding machines and rubber/plastics manufacturing processes.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven individual with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
