About the Role

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing payroll policies and procedures on a local or regional level. This involves collaborating with the Workday technical team, external payroll vendors (ADP & Ceridian), and preparing communication materials for employees. The successful candidate will also provide leadership and direction to the payroll team, ensuring compliance and data quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to payroll leads in specific countries;
  • Responsible for the compliance/data quality activities and guidance of the team;
  • Monitor the performance of the team to ensure they meet service levels and goals;
  • Develop the team and individuals by supervising, training, and providing effective feedback;
  • Manage the payroll team within an allocated budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/finance, HR, or another relevant field;
  • 10 years of relevant payroll experience and 3-5 years of management experience;
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English and French, with Spanish being an asset;
  • Industry payroll designation such as PCP or CPM, preferred;
  • Experience in complex statutory deductions, multiple payroll cycles, and high-volume processing;
  • Experience with ADP – Payroll, Ceridian, and/or Workday is an asset;
  • ADP's Autopay Analysis Documents' Knowledge is an asset;
  • Experience with digitalization of HR transactional processes and systems (preferable Workday);
  • Experience with pension and benefit administration and year-end activities;
  • Experience working in an international environment;
  • Payroll audit management and sound judgment in planning and execution of payroll tasks;
  • Excellent planning ability: anticipate needs and prioritize several tasks across the team;
  • Experience performing complex reconciliations, tax remittance, and third-party requests.
