Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager II to join our team at Cadillac Fairview. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our shopping centre, ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the activities of the operations team to ensure timely achievement of department goals
  • Provide regular motivation and mentoring to staff to encourage ongoing professional development
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance requirements are evaluated and performed
  • Support the management of the overall health and safety program
  • Develop and implement annual operating budgets for all categories of expense and recovery
  • Monitor operational expenses on a monthly basis and conduct variance analysis
  • Ensure property operations are well organized and competently staffed
  • Facilitate and coordinate ongoing communications with tenants
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls
  • Handle service contract negotiations

Requirements:

  • Minimum years experience in Physical Operations management with at least years supervisory/management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures, budgeting principles, electrical and practical theory, new technologies, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems, management principles, budgeting principles
  • Recent experience managing in a unionized environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Johnson Controls), and Preventative Maintenance software
  • General Functional Knowledge of Environmental Hazards and Green (LEEDS) Initiatives
