Job Title: Operations Manager II

At Cadillac Fairview, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the effective management of our shopping centre, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the activities of the operations team to ensure the timely achievement of department goals.
  • Provide regular motivation and mentoring to all staff to encourage ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance requirements are evaluated, documented, and performed.
  • Support the management of the overall health and safety program.
  • Develop and implement annual operating budgets for all categories of expense and recovery.
  • Monitor operational expenses on a monthly basis and conduct variance analysis to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure property operations are well organized and competently staffed.
  • Facilitate and coordinate ongoing communications with tenants to understand and address their operational concerns.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls and ensure the security of personnel and property.
  • Negotiate service contracts.
Requirements:
  • Minimum years of experience in physical operations management with at least years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures, budgeting principles, electrical and practical theory, new technologies, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems, management principles, and budgeting principles.
  • Recent experience managing in a unionized environment, including a solid understanding of collective bargaining.
  • Excellent knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Johnson Controls) and Preventative Maintenance software.
  • General functional knowledge of Environmental Hazards and Green (LEEDS) Initiatives.
