Summer Camp Leader

The Canada Games Centre seeks a dynamic and energetic individual to lead our summer camp program as a Camp Counsellor. This is a full-time position that requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with children aged 5-12 in a fun and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities of campers and implement summer camp program plans as directed by the Summer Camp Programmer.
- Facilitate recreational programs, including activities such as games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Provide outstanding customer service and communication with parents/guardians.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all campers.
- Work collaboratively with Aquatics staff to ensure the safety of children when in the pool.
Requirements:
- Current Basic Workplace First Aid certificate and CPR-C.
- High Five certification.
- Strong background in recreation as an employee, volunteer, or participant.
- Knowledge of a variety of sports, arts & crafts, and other camp activities.
