Salary

The salary range for this position is approximately $43,650 - $54,390 per year, based on a 37.5-hour workweek.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Imaging Technologist to join our team as a CT Modality Specialist at Chilliwack General Hospital.

As a CT Modality Specialist, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT, observing safe radiation protection practices, and ensuring that all procedures are completed according to established protocols.

You will also be responsible for receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the radiology information system, preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures, operating computerized imaging equipment, and monitoring patient safety during procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform special procedure examinations in CT, following established protocols and guidelines
  • Observe and respond to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations during procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and examination results
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Participate in quality control activities, including scheduling and performing equipment tests
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintaining patient safety and comfort during procedures

Qualifications

  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography
  • One year of recent experience in a related field, including supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
