Kitchen Supervisor Job Description

JEMO Foods Inc is seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
