Dining Services Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dining Services Attendant to join our team at Verve Senior Living. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dining areas, and assisting with food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) Program to ensure high-quality service and food preparation.
  • Serve meals to residents and guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set and clear dining room tables, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing dishes, pots, and kitchen equipment.
  • Sanitize the dishwasher area after each meal and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Handle vouchers for meal guests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with snack service and portion desserts for serving in the dining room.
  • Receive and store food supplies, and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation of food and assembly of salad/sandwich plates.
  • Maintain effective communication with co-workers and supervisory staff.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn.
  • Previous experience in a similar position in a hotel/restaurant or institutional setting is an asset.
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate is essential.
