About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join our team at Park Insurance. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, providing expert advice and guidance on their insurance needs, and driving business growth through sales and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new business and grow existing relationships
    • Conduct in-person and telephone sales to identify and meet the insurance needs of clients and prospects
    • Work with a team to establish and achieve sales targets and business growth objectives
  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met and exceeded
    • Review and analyze client applications, renewal requests, and endorsements to ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines
    • Calculate premiums and rates, apply payments and/or refunds, and complete binding, invoicing, and file documentation
    • Process cancellations, proactively inquire and document reasons for cancellation, and maintain accurate records
  • Professional Development and Teamwork:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, company underwriters, and other stakeholders
    • Actively participate in team meetings, contribute to discussions, and provide input on sales strategies and business growth initiatives
    • Mentor and support colleagues in their professional development, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive team success
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:
    • Hold a minimum Level 1 Insurance Broker licence in British Columbia
    • At least 3 years of experience in selling personal lines insurance
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with EPIC Applied Systems
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Affinity for helping others, enjoy being part of a team, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
