As a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient replenishment of materials and the effective execution of production operations at Sun Chemical's manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining and executing the scheduling and purchasing processes, while adhering to the company's values and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and investigate data to inform decision-making and optimize production processes.
- Process and manage 40-60 purchase orders with multiple vendors per day, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date material data, including inventory levels and vendor information.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures to minimize dormant or slow-moving inventory.
- Manage vendor-owned inventory and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide backup support to other MRP Controllers as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities and transactions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
- Knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
