Job Title: ECE Assistant

Job Summary:

At Le Jardin des Champions (JDC), we are seeking a dedicated ECE Assistant to join our team of passionate early childhood educators. The ideal candidate will have a college/CEGEP diploma and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in early childhood education and teaching. A Certificate of IEP completion is required.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assess children's development to prepare tailored learning plans.

  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.

  • Develop child-care programs to promote children's development.

  • Maintain daycare equipment.

  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.

  • Communicate children's situations to parents.

  • Assist early childhood educators in promoting children's development.

  • Lead activities through stories, songs, and outings.

  • Order supplies and equipment.

  • Encourage children's creativity through art, play, music, and physical activity.

  • Guide children in eating, dressing, and toilet habits.

  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture.

  • Observe and report children's potential learning or behavioral problems.

  • Discuss children's progress at staff meetings.

  • Establish behavior guidelines.

  • Plan a safe and healthy environment for children.

  • Plan activities for school-age children.

  • Supervise and coordinate early childhood educator activities.

  • Organize activities for children.

  • Schedule activities.



Requirements:



  • Available for the advertised start date.

  • Willing to relocate.

  • Previous experience in early childhood education.

  • Above-indicated required certifications.

  • College/CEGEP diploma.
