The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, with experience in overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of commercial properties. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that involves overseeing the daily operations of our body shop facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget, while also maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing regular reports on production output, employee productivity, and other key performance indicators.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: This role requires the ability to co-ordinate and schedule the activities of employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions: The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training new employees, as well as carrying out related staffing actions such as performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Train or arrange for training: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing training and development opportunities to employees, as well as arranging for external training and professional development programs as needed.
  • Prepare bids: This role requires the ability to prepare bids and proposals for new business opportunities, including estimating costs and materials required.
  • Manage own company: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall direction and strategy of the body shop facility, including setting goals and objectives, developing policies and procedures, and making strategic decisions.
  • Estimate costs and materials: The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating costs and materials required for projects, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: This role requires the ability to ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including conducting regular inspections and investigations into workplace incidents.
  • Recommend personnel actions: The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units: This role requires the ability to establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units, including setting priorities and deadlines, and allocating resources as needed.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
