This is a physically demanding role that requires working Monday – Friday from 7:00AM to 5:00PM, with occasional night or weekend work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment
  • Operate various types of equipment, including loaders, skid steers, and man lifts
  • Perform tasks at heights, such as man lift, dust collector bags, and silo maintenance
  • Work independently and be a self-motivator
  • Basic understanding of electrical knowledge
  • Perform snow removal in winter months

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a plant maintenance role is an asset
  • Prior concrete experience is an asset
  • Welding experience is an asset
  • Bilingual is an asset
  • Plumbing experience would be an asset
  • Good understanding of plant operations

Working Conditions:

  • Working in tight, awkward spaces – bending, crawling, twisting
  • Working at heights – reaching, climbing
  • Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Required to use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs
  • Exposed to dirt, dust, odors, noise, and weather extremes
  • May be required to work nights or weekends
