Natural Gas Optimization Specialist

This role will be responsible for optimizing, scheduling, and managing CIMA's Canadian Natural Gas businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize gas flows through scheduling and balancing, including trade execution and management of production assets and service agreements.
- Schedule gas flows for Division assets to maximize gas flows through pipeline systems, including NGTL, Westcoast, and Coastal GasLink.
- Manage transportation portfolio and imbalances.
- Participate in an on-call coverage rotation with the Canadian team to provide 24/7 scheduling, management, and trade execution coverage for LNG Canada and related assets.
- Utilize CIMA's ETRM and other systems to actualize and track Division activity.
- Collaborate with the Houston headquarters and Parent Company on transaction management and interact frequently with front-office, mid-office, and back-office teams.
- Support trading-related activities and inquiries with our team and customers.
- Maintain compliance with strategies, risk parameters, corporate policies, and regulations.
- Communicate material concerns and developments to the VP and other team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year Western Canada scheduling experience required; some Western Canada trade execution experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of Natural Gas market fundamentals, particularly in Western Canada.
- Familiarity with the NGTL system is essential.
- Strong customer relationships in the Western Canadian market are beneficial.
- Exposure to trade execution on ICE/NGX is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Collaborative and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within our diverse workplace.
- Diligence in negotiations and communication.
