About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Key Holder Assistant to join our team at the Great Canadian Dollar Store. As a Key Holder, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering advice on merchandise.
  • Sales Floor Management: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and displaying merchandise.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
  • Store Operations: Participate in opening and closing procedures, including counting tills and maintaining store security.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
  • Transportation: Own transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, team player, dependability, collaborative, hardworking, integrity, and positive attitude.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, part-time position with 15-30 hours per week. The work language is English.
