Job Summary

BCIT's School of Construction and the Environment is seeking a temporary, full-time Boilermaker Instructor to teach in our Boilermaker program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in boilermaking and experience in teaching or training.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver face-to-face classroom instruction to apprentice or entry-level students
  • Prepare and present classroom lessons, including lectures and practical demonstrations
  • Evaluate student work and program curriculum
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with other Faculty members

Qualifications

  • BC Trades Qualification with Inter-provincial Red Seal Status in Boilermaking
  • Minimum of five years' current experience as a journeyperson
  • Previous supervisory or teaching experience an asset
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities necessary to instruct the curriculum
