About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Big City Gourmet Catering. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide exceptional customer service to meet their needs.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and training to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to kitchen operations.

As a Culinary Specialist at Big City Gourmet Catering, you will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results. You will be part of a dynamic team that values teamwork, dependability, flexibility, and reliability.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English (required).
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
