About the Role

Morrison Hershfield, now part of Stantec, is a leading engineering practice with a rich history of innovation and excellence. We're seeking a highly skilled Code Consultant to join our team and contribute to our mission of making a difference in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities through strategic relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new clients and projects to expand our Code Consulting services
  • Apply building and fire codes to new and existing building designs, renovations, and projects
  • Prepare technical reports and communication materials for clients and stakeholders
  • Provide expert advice on code compliance and standards to internal and external clients
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with contractors, technical disciplines, and other stakeholders for successful project delivery
  • Investigate and resolve complex design and code issues
  • Develop project proposals and engage with clients to understand their needs and identify new opportunities
  • Manage projects and serve as the primary client contact
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Fire Protection
  • Minimum 6 years of Code consulting experience
  • Proven ability to conduct business development and communicate technical concepts effectively
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building and fire codes, Ontario and National Code knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with clients, authorities, and contractors
